Palm Reading
Palm Reading is the new musical project by Skooby Laposky and Charles Copley inspired by plant life, the natural environment, and the traditions of ambient and mindfulness music. The recordings are a combination of synthesized electronic music generated by biodata recorded from plants using a biodata sonification device, as well as ambient field recordings and original acoustic guitar accompaniment.
Making music with a purpose, their goal is to ‘give plants a voice’ and further inspire sustainability and action to protect ecosystems around us.
Instead of releasing traditional ‘albums,’ each release will be regarded as a location. You can stream this location, ‘Malibu: Point Mugu,’ on all streaming services starting today, August 13. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter for updates on the next Palm Reading location, Joshua Tree, to be released late Fall 2021.
